Reporting a problem from inside NetVane

The best way to report a bug is Help → Report a problem in the app. It attaches a diagnostic report that tells us far more than a description can — and it is redacted before it leaves your machine: IP addresses and MAC addresses are stripped, and no scan contents are included.

Nothing is sent unless you click send. You tick a consent box first, you can read the whole report before sending it, and the request appears in the app’s Local-only ledger like every other outbound request. If you would rather not send it at all, Copy report puts it on your clipboard to paste into an email yourself.

Useful things to include: your NetVane version (bottom of Settings), what you expected, what happened instead, and whether it happens every time. If you have a licence, your licence ID from the Licence panel helps us find you.

What we can help with, and what we cannot

We can help with: installing and running NetVane, understanding a finding, licence and billing questions, and bugs.

We cannot: administer your network for you, tell you whether you are compliant with a particular standard, or act as your security team. NetVane finds specific things and explains them. It is not a substitute for a professional assessment — and a clean result does not mean your network is secure.

Please only ever use NetVane on a network you own or are authorised to administer. See the licence agreement.
